Last Weekends fun.....

I know, I am kind of behind on our blog by a week. Last weekend we did a few little daytrips around the area. In Mannheim, they had a FamilieTag (Family Day). We went over there just to see what it was all about. It wasn't much, but they did have some crafts and games for the kids to do. Then Sunday we went to see the Weinstrasse Fest. There is a long road that is known as the Wine Road, every last Sunday in August the close it down to cars and you can walk/bike to all the towns and they have lots of food, wine (of course) and other activities. We didn't bike it this year, but we already planning it for next year. We went to a few towns and looked around. I love little towns in Germany. One of my favorite reasons I love Germany is all the towns have character and loads of history in each. Enjoy our pictures! (Note: we will be gone for two weeks on our Disney vacation, stay tune for some fun, exciting pictures! We are all really excited about our trip)

WeinStrasse at Deidesheim

Some wine tasting in the middle of the square. We bought some great wines while we were here. Both Billy and I love dry red wines! Our favorite!

One of the many wine estates in this town. This small town had several.

Weinstrasse at Freinsheim

Freinsheim has a great fortification around the quaint town. It was really lovely place to see.

a cute small door, the kids thought was cool they had doors made for their size!
No Dogs can poop in the city's wall.....hahaha
a tower from the fortification
the middle of town. I was googling this town for more information and I found out this town has been around for over 5,000 years! It is so amazing!

Even the mailboxes are pretty
