December activities.....

Sorry it has been awhile since my last blog posting. Much has happened in the last few weeks. At the end of November, Billy and I celebrated our 8th wedding anniversary. Unfortunately, he was away doing some training for work. We were lucky to have him home the night of Mallory's birthday so we could celebrate it as a family. Mallory is 5 years old now. It is amazing how 5 years can go by so fast. A few days after her birthday, we finally got our official orders to move in February. We will be moving to Sembach which is an hour northwest of where we live now. We are really excited about moving but we are going to miss the kids German kindergarten and all our friends here. A year and a half is just too short of time. Last weekend we went to the place we are moving to and found a wonderful house off post in a small German village. There is a kindergarten down the road, so hopefully we can continue going to German kindergarten. We have also been busy going to more Christmas markets in the area. I have been to so many, I have lost count. Enjoy our pictures!

Making ornaments for our tree

On post they had Santa's workshop....the kids got to decorate cookies, see Santa and make some crafts.

Mallory and Gabriel
Brayden told Santa what he wanted.......then after the picture he got really upset. He thought when he told Santa what he wanted, he was getting it right then! He was really confused.
Big sister, Mallory, reading books to her little brother. I was walking by the room and couldn't resist taking a picture.
Dec. 7th.....Mallory turns 5!
Mallory's godmother (Aunt Vickie) gave us her daughter's Littlest Pet Shop things before we moved here to Germany a year ago. We thought turning 5 was a great opportunity to give them to her.
Hallie, Mallory loves playing with all of your LPS pets! Thank you for the hand-me-down!
Another princess cake! I bought the cake toppers last year on ebay for $4 and got three princesses. Last year it was Sleeping Beauty, this year Cinderella.......so next year it will probably be Beauty and the Beast's Belle

I made Rainbow cake for the first time. Super easy and so much fun to eat. Just divide your cake batter and use food coloring. Layer the cake with the different colors and Viola!

Picking out the right tree! Brayden this year had in his mind we need to chop down a tree. Thank goodness there was a tree farm close by. The kids had a blast and think our tree is the most beautiful tree in the world.

This house looked exactly like a gingerbread house. It was really neat!

While walking back to the car I noticed this crucifix. I don't know the date of it, but just looking at how eroded the face was and the legs are gone.....it must be hundred or more years old.
