Kristen & Justin's Visit Plus, LOTS of Christmas Markets!!

My sister, Kristen, and her husband, Justin, came for a week visit over Thanksgiving. We had so much fun and some funny memories about our adventure together. We had a very busy jam-packed week. Thanks for a great visit! We miss you guys already. See you in January!

Esslingen Christmas Market (market #1)

Making pewter figurines......Mallory really enjoyed doing this
Fanning the fire
brushing the mold so the pewter won't stick
The melted pewter

This is my favorite Christmas market. It has so much character and lots to do for young and old.
The kids riding in the smallest farris wheel. This is hand powered. The guys working the farris wheel said it is in the Guinness book of world records recorded as the smallest farris wheel.

The guys did some archery. The loser bought the next glass of Gluhwein (hot spiced wine).

Justin loved the food on the stick!

Making gingerbread houses at the Christmas market!

Sleeping in a castle
We have always wanted to do this and had a great opportunity to share the experience with Kristen and Justin. It was so cool. Plus, when we woke up the next morning, there was a few inches of snow! It was beautiful!

*Since their visit: I have gone to Mannheim (#6) and Ludwigshafen's (#7) Christmas market. Sorry, I didn't get any pictures of those. Ludwigshafen didn't have any thrills at all to there's. It was kind of disappointing. More to come! I was to do lots of Christmas markets this month!
