Happy New Year!

Well, this year we decided to stay in and watch movies all night. Mallory tried to stay up, but at 9:30 she was sound asleep on the couch. Brayden didn't even try to stay up.

Our 2011 will start out a busy one. We are going to try to fly Space A for the first time. For those of you not military, Space A is short for space available on military (Air Force) flights. We won't know anything until we get to Arkansas because it all depends. We have to get to the plane like 20 minutes before they board and we won't know until we are on the plane, if we got it or not! It is going to be interesting.....but hey, it's free! We are going to try to get home as early as the 13th, but it could take a few days.....we don't know. Our neighbor just got back from the states and getting there he didn't have a problem, but getting back he finally had to buy a ticket to get back. Hopefully we will have more luck because we are going on a off season.

Then, once we get back to Germany we will be in the process of packing up our belongings and moving to our new location.........and to our house (pictured above)! So excited to have a freestanding house for the first time in seven years. We will also be living IN Germany......not on the military installation. So we will get a even better feel of Germany....one we haven't experienced before.

So what are your plans for 2011? I have been trying to be more creative lately and my New Year's resolution includes the challenge to budget our money and to make more homemade foods instead of store-bought, processed stuff. I have a addiction problem too....Billy would definitely agree to this. I am addicted to Blogs!!!! Anyone else out there with me? I came across them a few months ago and I am hooked! I had no idea these things existed until now. My interests are recipes, crafts, homeschooling (no I'm not considering it, but like some of their ideas and kids crafts), and couponing!!!!! OMG, I had no idea people find all the super duper bargins for you and post them on their blogs! It saves everyone time! Here are my favorites.......and yes the list keeps growing!

Coupons and Bargins!!

A bit of everything:

Want to learn more about making money from online click here. There is an excellent article that breaks it all down for you. I just signed up recently with Ebates before Christmas and I have already earned $18! I just signed up on Swagbucks also. Still learning how that one works, but it sounds like a good one too.

There is also a way to put coupons on your store card (ex. Kroger Plus card) instead of printing out or clipping coupons......... got to Cellfire for details.

Wow, isn't technology great! As one of the blogs say, It's not your Grandma's coupon site! Things have inproved tremendously through the years. I use to cut coupons years ago and quit because I felt like it I wasn't getting too much out of it. Well, I have since changed my mind! Since I have been following these sites, I have found myself saving over $10 or more with the coupons I have printed out. I know maybe some of you think that isn't a lot, but for me, I feel like I have accomplished a little pocket money for our next family trip somewhere. You can also find coupons on FB too! I usually find out about them through these blogs and print them out.

What are your favorites?? I know I have lots here, I don't look at all of them all the time, but I love all of these talented people's ideas! I don't even need magazines anymore! One of my resolutions this year is to get the sewing machine out and attempt to make the kids a quilt. I have been meaning to do it since we got here (but also thought I would have a year w/o Billy so that was when I was going to do it). Now in our new house I can have a place for my sewing machine and lets hope I can figure it out! :)

Happy New Year!
Bring on 2011!
